Minnesota High School Basketball - Cherry overwhelms Carlton

February 24, 2023: Iron, MN 55751

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cherry Tigers (Iron, MN) and the visiting Carlton Bulldogs (Carlton, MN), saw Cherry's basketball squad wallop Carlton by a tally of 97-52.

With the victory, Cherry improves its record to 19-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Marshall (Duluth, MN) to confront the Hilltoppers in a A Section 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 3-21. Marshall lost 73-65 in their recent league challenge against Nashwauk-Keewatin (Nashwauk, MN)

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings (Littlefork, MN) in a A Section 7 challenge, on Saturday, February 25. Carlton will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 12-10 record after their 86-65 non-league win over Cook County (Grand Marais, MN).
