Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI) and the host Comstock Park Panthers (Comstock Park, MI), saw Sparta's basketball squad wallop Comstock Park by a tally of 72-49.

With the victory, Sparta improves its record to 13-8 on the season. The Spartans travel to Cedar Springs (Cedar Springs, MI) to encounter the Red Hawks in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 28. The Red Hawks go into the test with a record of 4-16. Cedar Springs lost 80-41 in their recent league test against South Christian (Grand Rapids, MI)

The Panthers now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host North Michigan Christian Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 28. Comstock Park will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 62-40 non-league win over Grand Traverse Academy (Traverse City, MI). The Comets record now stands at 11-10.
