February 24, 2023: Alexandria, SD 57311 Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD), 61-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hanson upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Beavers travel to Wagner (Wagner, SD) to face the Red Raiders in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 28. The Red Raiders enter the game with a record of 8-12. Wagner lost 54-49 in their recent non-league game against Beresford (Beresford, SD)
With the defeat, Elkton/Lake Benton moves to 6-14 on the year. The Elks travel to Flandreau (Flandreau, SD) to face the Fliers in a non-league game on Monday, February 27. The Fliers enter the game with a record of 9-12. Flandreau won 60-44 in their recent non-league game against Deubrook (White, SD)
