Montana High School Basketball - Fort Benton holds off Highwood
February 24, 2023: Fort Benton, MT 59442 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Fort Benton Longhorns (Fort Benton, MT) and the visiting Highwood Mountaineers (Highwood, MT), saw Fort Benton's basketball squad hold off Highwood by a tally of 39-32.
With the victory, Fort Benton improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Roy/Winifred (Winifred, MT) to confront the Outlaws in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 25. The Outlaws come into the challenge with a record of 20-1. Roy/Winifred won 45-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Chinook (Chinook, MT)
Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Belt Huskies (Belt, MT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 25. Highwood will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 56-30 non-league win over Cascade (Cascade, MT).
