Georgia High School Soccer - Lanier County knocks off McIntosh County Academy
February 24, 2023: Lakeland, GA 31635 The Lanier County Bulldogs soccer team scored 5 points and limited the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Friday.
Next, the Bulldogs face the Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA) in a 1A D-II Area 2 contest, on Tuesday, February 28. Lanier County will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Rebels enter the contest with a 4-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Echols County (Statenville, GA).
The Buccaneers now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Echols County for a non-league contest on Monday, February 27. McIntosh County Academy will face a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Atkinson County (Pearson, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
