Alaska High School Basketball - Petersburg ripped by Mt. Edgecumbe
February 24, 2024: Petersburg, AK 99833 The Mt. Edgecumbe Braves basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Petersburg Vikings to 49 in the Braves non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Braves now sport a 21-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sitka for a 3A Eastern contest on Tuesday, February 27. Mt. Edgecumbe will battle a Wolves team coming off a 64-58 league loss to Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK). The Wolves record now stands at 14-6.
The Vikings (11-10) will now prepare for their contest against Craig (Craig, AK). The Panthers enter the 2A Southeast contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, Craig was routed by Wrangell (Wrangell, AK), 76-63, in a league contest.
