The Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) basketball crushed the visiting Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), 72-50 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Kardinals (8-12) will now prepare for their test against Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK). The Grizzlies go into the 3A Peninsula test with a 17-3 record.

The Hawks now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Redington for a 3A Eastern test on Tuesday, February 27. Houston will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 53-29 non-league loss to Seward (Seward, AK). The Huskies record now stands at 2-15.
