New Mexico High School Softball - Coronado topped by Hobbs
February 24, 2024: Hobbs, NM 88240 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX), by a margin of 18-5.
With the triumph, Hobbs moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Eagles host Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Friday, March 1. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 3-0. Mayfield won 22-5 in their recent non-league contest against Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM)
In their next game, the Mustangs play the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 9. Coronado will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
