Texas High School Softball - Magnolia West nudges Cesar E. Chavez
February 24, 2024: Houston, TX 77017 Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cesar E. Chavez Lobos (Houston, TX), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now sport a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crosby for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. Magnolia West will face a Cougars squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over New Caney (New Caney, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Cesar E. Chavez falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Iowa Colony (Iowa Colony, TX) to face the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. Iowa Colony lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX)
