The Mallard Creek Mavericks baseball squad (Charlotte, NC), was overwhelmed 15-5 in Monday's non-league contest with the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC)

With the triumph, Palisades moves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pumas host Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC) to confront the Lancers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 25. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 0-0.

The Mavericks now possess a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league contest on Friday, February 28.
