The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) and the visiting New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX), observed Gilmer's softball team notch a victory over New Boston by a final score of 16-0.

The Buckeyes (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against McLeod (McLeod, TX). The Longhorns go into the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, McLeod gained a win over Harleton (Harleton, TX), 15-9, in a non-league bout.
