Minnesota High School Basketball - Mankato East overwhelms Red Wing
February 25, 2022: Mankato, MN 56001 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) and the visiting Red Wing Wingers (Red Wing, MN), saw Mankato East's basketball squad wallop Red Wing by a tally of 68-34.
With the victory, Mankato East improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Owatonna (Owatonna, MN) to confront the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 21-2. Owatonna won 81-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Mankato West (Mankato, MN)
Next up, the Wingers confront the Albert Lea Tigers (Albert Lea, MN) in a AAA Section 1 challenge, on Monday, February 28. Red Wing will attempt to improve on its 14-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-20 record after their 88-56 league loss to Winona (Winona, MN).
