Texas High School Softball - Waxahachie bounces Independence
February 25, 2023: Waxahachie, TX 75165 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Waxahachie Indians (Waxahachie, TX) and the visiting Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), witnessed Waxahachie's softball squad tip Independence by a count of 8-3.
The Indians now sport a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Corsicana for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 28. Waxahachie will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Independence moves to 0-4 on the season. The Knights travel to Heritage (Frisco, TX) to meet the Coyotes in a 5A Region II District 10 match on Tuesday, February 28. The Coyotes go into the match with a record of 12-1. Heritage won 10-6 in their recent non-league match against Ridge Point (Missouri City, TX)
