In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Palisades Pumas softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the North Gaston Wildcats.

The Pumas (1-2) will now prepare for their match against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, East Mecklenburg nipped Berry (Charlotte, NC), 16-7, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 28. North Gaston will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
