Vail Mountain Gore Rangers (Vail, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Soroco Rams (Oak Creek, CO), 61-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Vail Mountain upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Gore Rangers travel to North Park (Walden, CO) to play the Wildcats in a 2A/1A Western Slope - North bout on Saturday, February 27. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-11. North Park lost 70-33 in their recent league bout against Meeker (Meeker, CO)

Next up, the Rams play the Rangely Panthers (Rangely, CO) in a 2A/1A Western Slope - North bout, on Saturday, February 27. Soroco will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to Hayden (Hayden, CO).
