The Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) basketball nipped the host Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS), 51-48 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Maroon Tide (19-7) will now prepare for their test against New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 22-4 record. In their last test, New Hope got by Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS), 72-42, in a non-league test.
