Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 7-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mallard Creek upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to battle the Ragin' Bulls in a non-league test on Thursday, February 29. The Ragin' Bulls come into the test with a record of 0-1. Hickory Ridge lost 9-3 in their recent non-league test against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC)

With the defeat, Palisades falls to 0-1 on the season. The Pumas host East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, February 29. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-1. East Mecklenburg won 18-7 in their recent non-league test against Berry (Charlotte, NC)
