The Piedmont Panthers baseball squad (Monroe, NC), was overwhelmed 10-5 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC)

With the triumph, North Stanly moves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Comets host Carson (China Grove, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league contest on Thursday, February 27. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Carson lost 3-1 in their recent league contest against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC)

The Panthers now possess a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Pleasant for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 4. Piedmont will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
