Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) and the host Academic Magnet Raptors (North Charleston, SC), witnessed Effingham County's lacrosse squad top Academic Magnet by a count of 18-8.

The Rebels (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Greenbrier (Evans, GA). The Wolfpack enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record.

Next, the Raptors meet the Bishop England Battling Bishops (Charleston, SC) in a 4A-1A Lower contest, on Monday, March 3. Academic Magnet will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Battling Bishops enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 15-11 league loss to Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC).
