The West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) softball nipped the visiting Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), 17-16 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 28. West Mesa will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 18-12 non-league loss to Manzano (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Eldorado moves to 1-3 on the season. The Golden eagles travel to Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM) to meet the Knights in a non-league test on Saturday, February 28. The Knights go into the test with a record of 0-0.
