Jay Royals (Jay, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Freeport Bulldogs (Freeport, FL), 11-3 in a league challenge.

The Royals now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 28. Jay will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Rocky Bayou Christian (Niceville, FL). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Freeport falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Chipley (Chipley, FL) to battle the Tigers in a 1A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Chipley lost 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mosley (Lynn Haven, FL)
