Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Deer Lakes nips Steel Valley
February 27, 2023: Munhall, PA 15120 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) and the host Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA), saw Deer Lakes's basketball squad hold off Steel Valley by a tally of 65-63.
With the victory, Deer Lakes improves its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 7-16. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional won 53-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Neshannock (New Castle, PA)
Next up, the Ironmen play the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 1. Steel Valley will attempt to improve on its 15-10 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 19-7 record after their 53-50 non-league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA).
