Michigan High School Basketball - Pennfield knocked off by Sturgis
February 27, 2024: Battle Creek, MI 49017 The Sturgis Trojans basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Pennfield Panthers to 36 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now sport a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paw Paw for a Wolverine B contest on Thursday, February 29. Sturgis will battle a Red Wolves team coming off a 47-37 non-league win over Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Red Wolves record now stands at 19-2.
The Panthers (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Gull Lake was defeated by Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI), 47-37, in a non-league contest.
