North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Asheville drops to Hickory

February 27, 2024: Hickory, NC 28601

In Tuesday's league test, the host Hickory Red Tornadoes lacrosse squad scored a tight 18-12 victory over the Asheville Cougars.

The Red Tornadoes now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Norman Charter for a non-league test on Monday, March 4. Hickory will face a Knights squad coming off a 27-2 league win over Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills test, on Thursday, February 29. Asheville will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 14-4 league win over Patton (Morganton, NC).
