The Central Spartans baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Needles Mustangs to 2 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Fernley for a non-league test on Friday, February 28. Central will clash with a Vaqueros team coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Vaqueros record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Needles drops to 1-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Camp Verde (Camp Verde, AZ) to clash with the Cowboys in a non-league test on Thursday, February 27. The Cowboys go into the test with a record of 0-0.
