In Thursday's non-league match, the host Owen Warhorses softball team scored a tight 1-0 win over the North Buncombe Black Hawks.

The Warhorses (1-0) will now prepare for their match against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record.
