Galena Grizzlies (Reno, NV) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Downey Knights (Modesto, CA), 2-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Galena advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Pioneer (Woodland, CA) to battle the Patriots in a non-league match on Saturday, February 28. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 1-1. Pioneer lost 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Central Catholic (Modesto, CA)

Next, the Knights play the Grace Davis Spartans (Modesto, CA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 4. Downey will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans go into the game with a 1-2 record after their 14-12 non-league loss to River Islands (Lathrop, CA).
