Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mercer thwarts Eisenhower
February 28, 2023: Russell, PA 16345 The Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) basketball knocked off the host Eisenhower Knights (Russell, PA), 61-53 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (20-4) will now prepare for their test against Erie (Erie, PA). The Royals go into the non-league test with a 16-8 record. In their last test, Erie notched a victory over Taylor Allderdice (Pittsburgh, PA), 62-58, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Cambridge Springs for a non-league test on Friday, March 3. Eisenhower will encounter a Devils squad coming off a 63-42 non-league loss to Erie First Christian Academy (Erie, PA). The Devils record now stands at 18-6.
