February 28, 2023: Augusta, GA 30901 The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA) and the host Laney Wildcats (Augusta, GA), saw Washington County's soccer squad beat Laney by a margin of 6-2.
The Golden Hawks now sport a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Putnam County for a 2A Area 4 test on Tuesday, March 7. Washington County will meet a War Eagles squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Laney (Augusta, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Laney drops to 0-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Putnam County (Eatonton, GA) to meet the War Eagles in a 2A Area 4 test on Thursday, March 2.
