The Verrado Vipers routed the visiting Apollo Hawks softball squad by a count of 15-3 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Vipers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Sunrise Mountain topped Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 4-3, in a non-league battle.
