First Quarter
A competitive start to this matchup. Jack Grimeser knocks down a three at the buzzer to trim the lead to three. Health Sciences is sticking with man-to-man defense, switching on the perimeter, while Staz is making his presence felt inside, limiting Jack Kemp’s opportunities at the rim.
Second Quarter
A dominant second quarter for Health Sciences as their defensive pressure completely stifles Starpoint, holding them scoreless in the quarter. Starpoint is struggling to generate movement in their offense, as Health Sciences’ switch-everything defense is disrupting their flow and forcing tough shots.
Defensively, Starpoint remains in a 2-3 zone, but Health Sciences is picking it apart—moving the ball well, attacking gaps, and finishing at the rim. Zayvion Hawkins has been a difference-maker with 11 points, while Staz Chiddick has chipped in 7 points to help build the lead.
Third Quarter
Health Sciences opened up the rotation in the third quarter, giving valuable minutes to players who recently moved up from JV. Starpoint took advantage, making a small run, but the young guys held their own, knocking down some shots and energizing the crowd.
With one quarter left, Health Sciences is in control and looking to close this one out as they set their sights on advancing to Buff State.
Fourth Quarter
Health Sciences went back to their starters to regain control and push the lead back up. Point guard Nas Young made an impact with key steals in the backcourt, leading to easy layups that extended the advantage.
With the game in hand, both teams emptied their benches, giving their younger players valuable minutes. Always great to see the future get some court time in a playoff atmosphere.
Health Sciences advances and moves on to Buff State.
