California High School Volleyball - El Cajon Valley over Fallbrook

February 28, 2025: El Cajon, CA 92021

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA) and the visiting Fallbrook Warriors (Fallbrook, CA), observed El Cajon Valley's volleyball team top Fallbrook by a count of 2-0.

The Braves (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Escondido Charter notched a victory over The Cambridge School (San Diego, CA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 28. Fallbrook will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Norsemen enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Santana (Santee, CA).

Match Summary

The biggest problem I could see from the video is that we didn't block well or cover the seams in the block. We made it easier for the opposing team to get easy attacks by continuously serving zone 6. The team didn't play extremely well during the second set. I wasn't able to continue with stats, because camera man did not record complete game. This team had great hitters, especially #8 (OH), and he was a great server as well.
