California High School Baseball - Downey defeats Rancho Cucamonga
February 28, 2025: Downey, CA 90241 The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) and the visiting Rancho Cucamonga Cougars (Rancho Cucamonga, CA), saw Downey's baseball team beat Rancho Cucamonga by a margin of 7-2.
The Vikings (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA). The Griffins enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Los Alamitos was overwhelmed by Foothill (Santa Ana, CA), 8-6, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Rancho Cucamonga drops to 2-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Glendora (Glendora, CA) to clash with the Tartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 7. The Tartans go into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Glendora lost 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)
