The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars basketball squad (Pinetops, NC), was outscored 59-43 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC)

With the victory, Fairmont advances its record to 23-1 on the year. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 18-8. Nash Central won 69-46 in their recent non-league battle against Louisburg (Louisburg, NC)
