February 28, 2025: Lake Placid, FL 33852 The Lake Placid Dragons (Lake Placid, FL) baseball trounced the visiting Discovery Spartans (Lake Alfred, FL), 9-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Dragons now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clewiston for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 4. Lake Placid will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to LaBelle (LaBelle, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Discovery drops to 2-4 on the year. The Spartans travel to Auburndale (Auburndale, FL) to clash with the Bloodhounds in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 5. The Bloodhounds go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Auburndale lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Lakeland (Lakeland, FL)
