Alabama High School Softball - Wellborn topped by Glencoe
February 28, 2025: Glencoe, AL 35905 Glencoe Yellowjackets (Glencoe, AL) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL), 10-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Glencoe upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL) to play the Eagles in a 3A Area 11 game on Tuesday, March 4. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 5-5. Hokes Bluff won 16-5 in their recent non-league bout against Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL)
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Ranburne Bulldogs (Ranburne, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 3. Wellborn will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Cleburne County (Heflin, AL).
