Texas High School Baseball - Austin loses to Southwest

February 28, 2026: San Antonio, TX 78252

In Saturday's non-league bout, the Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Austin Maroons (Austin, TX), by a tally of 8-0.

The Dragons now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southside for a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, March 3. Southwest will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Sam Houston (San Antonio, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-5.

The Maroons (6-4) will now prepare for their bout against Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league bout with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, Liberty Hill overcame East View (Georgetown, TX), 9-7, in a non-league challenge.
