The Bruce Trojans softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Shannon Red Raiders to 8 in the Trojans non-league win on Saturday.

The Trojans now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Water Valley for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 3. Bruce will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 22-9 non-league loss to J.Z. George (North Carrollton, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-8.

The Red Raiders (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Amory (Amory, MS). The Panthers go into the 4A Region 1 challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Amory was routed by Hatley (Amory, MS), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
