The Notre Dame Pioneers softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting DeRidder Dragons to 5 in the Pioneers non-league win on Saturday.

The Pioneers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eunice for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 2. Notre Dame will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-5.

The Dragons (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Kinder (Kinder, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Kinder was routed by Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA), 15-0, in a non-league challenge.
