The MacArthur Generals softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Tarkington Longhorns to 5 in the Generals non-league win on Saturday.

The Generals now possess a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Aldine for a 6A Region II District 14 battle on Tuesday, March 3. MacArthur will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 19-1 non-league loss to Northbrook (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-12.

The Longhorns (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Livingston (Livingston, TX). The Lions enter the 4A Region III District 19 challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, Livingston edged C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX), 9-2, in a non-league challenge.
