In Thursday's non-league challenge, the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) baseball squad the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), by a margin of 7-5.

With the win, North Gaston betters its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to encounter the Ironmen in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. The Ironmen come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Cherryville won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)

With the defeat, East Gaston falls to 1-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 5.
