Florida High School Softball - Countryside bounces Boca Ciega
February 29, 2024: Gulfport, FL 33707 Countryside Cougars (Clearwater, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Boca Ciega Pirates (Gulfport, FL), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Clearwater for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. Countryside will battle a Tornadoes squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Seminole (Seminole, FL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Boca Ciega falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Indian Rocks Christian (Largo, FL) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Indian Rocks Christian won 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg, FL)
