The Needles Mustangs got by the visiting Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Legacy (North Las Vegas, NV). The Longhorns go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Legacy was edged by Lowry (Winnemucca, NV), 10-7, in a non-league bout.

The Mighty Arabs now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lowry for a non-league bout on Friday, March 1. Coachella Valley will confront a Buckaroos squad coming off a 10-7 non-league win over Legacy (North Las Vegas, NV). The Buckaroos record now stands at 1-1.
