North Carolina High School Softball - Crest bounces East Rutherford
February 29, 2024: Forest City, NC 28018 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) and the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), witnessed Crest's softball squad tip East Rutherford by a count of 10-3.
The Chargers now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they host East Lincoln for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 6. Crest will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, East Rutherford moves to 0-1 on the season. The Cavaliers host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 5. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 1-1. Alexander Central won 6-4 in their recent non-league match against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)
