Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Lower Moreland Lions (Huntingdon Valley, PA) and the visiting Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA), witnessed Lower Moreland's basketball squad nip Springfield Township by a margin of 48-46.
The Lions (2-6) will now prepare for their test against New Hope-Solebury (New Hope, PA). The Lions go into the Suburban One - American test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, New Hope-Solebury got by Central Bucks East (Doylestown, PA), 59-54, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hatboro-Horsham for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 2. Springfield Township will encounter a Hatters squad coming off a 56-24 non-league loss to Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA). The Hatters record now stands at 5-8.
