The Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) basketball nipped the host Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), 72-70 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Redbirds (30-2) will now prepare for their test against Richwoods (Peoria, IL). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 23-5 record. In their last test, Richwoods got by Rock Island (Rock Island, IL), 73-52, in a non-league test.
