The Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) baseball nipped the visiting East Central Hornets (San Antonio, TX), 5-4 in Friday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Judson Rockets (Converse, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 2. Canyon will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Rockets enter the contest with a 3-7 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX).
