In Friday's league contest, the El Toro Chargers (Lake Forest, CA) softball team held off the host Cypress Centurions (Cypress, CA), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, El Toro moves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Chargers travel to La Mirada (La Mirada, CA) to play the Matadores in a non-league contest on Friday, March 1. The Matadores come into the contest with a record of 5-2. La Mirada won 4-1 in their recent non-league contest against Gallup (Gallup, NM)

In their next game, the Centurions play the Sunny Hills Lancers (Fullerton, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 5. Cypress will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Lancers come into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Downey (Downey, CA).
