LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX), 6-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, LaPoynor improves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Flyers host Cayuga (Cayuga, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Region III District 20 game on Tuesday, March 4. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 2-2. Cayuga lost 8-5 in their recent non-league game against Chester (Chester, TX)
