In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Ponderosa Bruins volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Rocklin Thunder.

The Bruins (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings come into the Foothill Valley battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Oakmont nudged Capital Christian (Sacramento, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
